THE JOURNEY OF LIFE

Queste opere fanno parte di un progetto nato dalla riflessione su ciò che inseguiamo nel viaggio della vita, sulle mete e le tappe che ci attraggono lungo il cammino. Indagano la ricerca interiore e l’influenza dei condizionamenti sociali sulle nostre scelte. Alcune delle mie risposte prendono forma su queste tele, dove i personaggi viaggiano all’interno di scatole, simbolo del loro percorso verso i propri traguardi.
Ho per questo fotografato i protagonisti da soli o in gruppo per poi disegnarli e dipingerli su tela e accompagnarli nella loro ricerca che spesso è un po' anche la mia. Le prime opere di questo progetto sono realizzata esclusivamente ad olio, ma in seguito ho introdotto per lo sfondo diversi tipi di foglie: da quella d'oro a quella di bronzo o a varie tipologie di foglie variegate. |
These works are part of a project born from reflection on what we pursue in the journey of life, on the goals and stages that attract us along the way. They explore the search within and the influence of social conditioning on our choices. Some of my answers take shape on these canvases, where the characters travel inside boxes, symbolizing their path toward their own goals.
For this reason, I photographed the protagonists alone or in groups, then drew and painted them on canvas to accompany them in their quest, which is often, in someway, also my own. The first works of this project were created exclusively in oil, but later I began incorporating different types of leaf for the background: from gold to bronze, as well as various types of variegated leaves. |
